Tracy L. Sterling

Tracy L. Sterling is the founder of The Sterling Law Firm, where she serves as the firm’s lead litigation counsel.
Ms. Sterling is a native of Clear Lake City, Texas. She graduated from Clear Lake High School in 1998, then earned her undergraduate degree in Legal Studies/American Jurisprudence in just three years from the University of Houston-Clear Lake in 2001. After working at a litigation support firm, Ms. Sterling went on to attend South Texas College of Law Houston, where she earned her Doctor of Jurisprudence degree in 2004.
While in law school, Ms. Sterling participated in the college’s international programs, studying Comparative Trial Systems, Alternative Dispute Resolution and Negotiation Skills, and Freedom of the Press at the University of Malta in Valletta, Malta. Ms. Sterling also volunteered at the college as a mentor to younger law students and worked as a law clerk at Burrow & Parrott L.L.P. under Alice Oliver-Parrott, Former Chief Justice of the 1st Court of Appeals.
Prior to forming The Sterling Law Firm, Ms. Sterling worked as an associate attorney for a plaintiff’s personal injury and business litigation firm. She later worked as a contract attorney for two of the nation’s largest law firms as well as one of the world’s largest oil and gas companies. However, Ms. Sterling recognized that her passion was helping "real people," and decided to focus her talents on family law and criminal defense.
In her spare time, Ms. Sterling enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as traveling and attending live music and sporting events. She is currently on a mission to visit all 30 active MLB stadiums.
